AJAX Needs a Uniform Standard
IBM would be contributing key intellectual assets to the open source community in order to help companies and software developers adopt and share best practices for Ajax software development.

As Java is taking steps towards open source model, it seems that every company wants their share in the standard platform as it grants them the authorship rights of the standard but in order to a platform to be standard, it has to be standardized.

Standard can be created in two ways- the Microsoft path and the committee path. Windows standard were the Microsoft way whereas Wi -Fi standards were the committee way. We are already aware that committee path does not move fast. I was just wondering whether the committees have the right resources to keep AJAX uniform. I don't want something like this happening with AJAX
