Apple iPhone misleading commercial faces the axe

In the TV commercial the iPhone can be seen in the hand of a person with fingers moving through the several icons on the main page. The voice in the background talks about how one could access all parts of the internet with the touch of a button.
You never know which part of the internet you'll need. The do you need sun cream part? The what's the quickest way to the airport part? The what about an ocean view room part? ...Which is why all the parts of the internet are on the iPhone.
This triggered hue and cry from customers since iPhone neither supports Java nor Flash. Though Apple tried to clarify its position by stating that the commercial was not about highlighting technical details but Advertising Standards Authority felt that that this particular Apple iPhone commercial tried to misled customers.
This is what Advertising Standards Authority had to say about its ruling:
We considered that, because the ad had not explained the limitations, viewers were likely to expect to be able to see all the content on a website normally accessible through a PC rather than just having the ability to reach the website.
Apple chose to remain mum on the ruling but this must have put it into thinking mode as to whether its decision to stay away from Sun was correct or not.
