Asia goes high on Java mobile

Sun would really be happy with the developments taking place across Asia. Since a lot of mobile application development is taking across Asia therefore it has brought Java into the focus and as a number of handsets are using Java it has emerged as a front end or back end technology or both. Asia has been showing a growing interest in java mobile applications and it can be judged by the fact that around one billion cell phones around the globe use Java software in some form or the other.

Take for example Malaysia which is taking a lot of interest in Java as around seventy Java startups have blossomed in the past two years with the Sun sponsored Java Technopreneur Development Center and around two hundred developers have received training through the JTrend initiative. As of now a number of university students in the country have received training in Java and Solaris.

It looks that Sun is making efforts for developing Java entrepreneurs which in turn would surely give the company an edge over others. Asia is surely going Java mobile.
