A number of projects have adopting OpenJPA for offering Object Relational Mapping for their needs. Apache OpenJPA which has been gaining popularity in the JEE arena has been adopted by BEA as the EJB3 JPA implementation in WebLogic Server 10 and even in the EJB3 Feature Pack for IBM WebSphere Application Server.

Very soon Open 1.0.0 will be released and already it has been incorporated with other frameworks such as GlassFish, Spring Framework, Sun Java System Application Server and JOnAS Application Server. OpenJPA started off in Kodo product of BEA and since that time the project has grown to include broad application server and tool support.
