ColdFusion gets closer to .Net
Filed in archive AJAX on May 30, 2007
Adobe is looking to improvise on ColdFusion software with Microsoft .Net support which would let .Net objects to be invoked from within the ColdFusion language. The company will be offering public beta of ColdFusion 8 and the general release will be available by the middle of the year. You all must be aware that ColdFusion is a server side Java application and the .Net support would bring Java and Microsoft closer. ColdFusion is capable of working with PDF forms and manipulation of existing PDF documents. There is also support for JBoss application server. It also generates HTML interface for web applications.
There is also something for developers - interactive debugging based on Eclipse IDE has been added and server monitor capability looks for bottlenecks in the server. Flex rich Internet application technology and AJAX have also been included for integration of complex environments with intuitive interfaces. As of now the company has no plans to open source ColdFusion.
