Just recently I was asked by a publishing company to review a manuscript for a new AJAX book. It was an interesting experience for me. Before I started reading I had some ideas in my head already about what topics the author would be covering. To my surprise I had made some incorrect assumptions. This led me to wonder what other people thought an AJAX book should cover because when you think about it there are a large number of potential topics out there.

This leads me to my first contest, which I'm calling the "Concept Contest for an AJAX Book." At the moment I can't think of another name so give me a break. Anyway, what I'm looking for is around 10 well thought out topics that a book on AJAX should cover. List each topic in the form of a bullet that is no longer than a single sentence. Also, include a short paragraph that briefly explains why you choose the topics. In summary I'm looking for good entries that are short and sweet.

Submit your list of hypothetical topics that an AJAX book should cover to java@creative-weblogging.com and in the subject line include the phrase "Concept Contest for an AJAX Book". I need your entries but March 15th in order to review them. Soon after I will select a winner and that person will get a $50 Amazon gift certificate. I will then list the winner's entry as well as those I consider Honorable Mentions.
