Derek Sivers of CD Baby

here in New England and yesterday I was outside listening to a really good podcast while I herding dead leaves into small piles. I subscribe to theVenture Voice podcast and find that they produce a very good series. Yesterday's podcast was an interview with Derek Sivers who is the founder ofCD Baby. I had never heard of Derek Sivers before but he is definitely on my radar screen from this point forward.Derek founded CD Baby back in the late 1990's. His story is very inspiring and I suggest people give this podcast a listen. He started his online business not knowing anything about the Internet or programming. His passion for business and learning has made CD Baby into the holder of the largest collection of independent music available on the Internet. However impressive that may sound it was not what drew me to his story. It was more his ability to focus on "his" view of the business and what it should be. His advise to entrepreneurs, and I'm paraphrasing, is to just put something out there and not try and be all things to all people. Focus on the business that you want to build and make it happen.
