Get Your Own Search Engine through Yahoo! Search Builder
Yahoo has come up with a fresh tool for webmaster and developers. Dubbed the Yahoo! Search Builder it enables anyone to create a customized search engine with minimum effort. This web based service creates a search box which can search the web, site or a selection of sources. As per the official Yahoo! Blog one could create a custom web search engine by selecting a set of trusted sites in order to search across or one could tune the search algorithm as per the topic of your requirement.

Users could either settle down for a simple search box or a custom search through a four step process. In each of the cases the automated AJAX service generates a code which one would need to add the search engine to the site. Colors and size can be modified through a simple graphical user interface.

This is the latest tool offered by Yahoo. Earlier it had come up with a number of free tools such Yahoo! Search Application Programming Interface and Yahoo! User Interface JavaScript library.
