Sun is moving slowly and sensibly towards its open source initiative and an after getting a warm reception for GlassFish V1 the company has announced availability of GlassFish V2. This new release brings with it some enterprise features such as advanced administration, clustering and improved performance. Now as a customer you won't have to opt between open source and enterprise features since GlassFish V2 offers most of the features required for deployment.

Sun has even considerably brought down the license and support fee for it's commercially supported Sun Java System Application Server which I feel would go down pretty well with its customers. If you are looking forward to download GlassFish V2 click here.
