There Sun open sourced java and here we saw Dr Graham Hamilton, Sun Fellow and V.P part ways with the company. Dr. Hamilton was one of the people who were against Sun's decision of open sourcing Java.

Dr. Hamilton was an uncompromising advocate of compatibility. A respected figure at Sun, he is credited with the designing of API, JDBC, Java Beans and JavaOS standalone Java system.

This is certainly a big loss for the Sun family as a whole. Did he part ways due to open sourcing of Java or there was some other reason behind it? I think the answer lies with Dr Graham Hamilton himself.
