HP gets Ajax tools in its lap with acquisition of Tabblo
HP has got hold of Tabblo, an online photo service for an undisclosed sum which would make it easier for its customers to print photographs and other rich text from web browser. As a part of the deal the company may even get hold of the technology for simplifying enterprise web printing and collaboration. What attracted HP to Tabblo was its Ajax based interface which would offer it a service that compliments Snapfish which is HP's web based photo sharing service. Tabblo is gonna make it easier for HP's customers to print from the web and with its technology customers can print either locally or through hosted services.

Pradeep Jotwani, Senior V.P, HP's Imaging and Printing Group stated:

Indeed the AJAX-based editor is what HP found attractive in Tabblo. It's got really good template tools. The templates can be moved into different print formats for print service providers as well as PDF print-ready files.

With Tabblo H.P intends to give its users additional option for printing web content. Looks like we have got another fan of Ajax!!
