jPhone - Another iPhone clone?

Why are companies around the world trying to ride on the success of Apple iPhone? Is this particular phone the end of creativity? Sun recently announced the Java Mobile FX software along with the prototype of iphone clonelinks and more than the software it was the phone which caught the attention all because it looked like the twisted sibling of Apple iPhone. Very soon we will see this phone with the software and it will constantly remind you of the famed Apple iPhone.

Will it be called jPhone? It seems so but why aren't companies thinking beyond iPhone. I know it caught a lot of media attention but if they try to take 'inspiration' from it they are indirectly giving it further popularity at cost of their brand image. Sun Chairman Scott McNealy stated that we have our own shirtsleeve version of Steve Jobs announcing a phone. It's no smartness to come up with smart phone which lack an original recipe. Can somebody really think out of the box otherwise I will go off to sleep!!
