Kitchen Sink Language to Encourage Innovation in Java
Filed in archive Application Development on January 11, 2007
Sun Microsystems is very much interested that its Java language evolves and for this purpose it is encouraging developers to put in their everything including the kitchen sink. The company is pepping up the developers to think out of the box and add some new features to Java and at the same time preserve the sanctity of the standard language.
For this purpose a Sun incubator project known as Kitchen Sink Language or KSL has been started which enables developers to come up with innovative language features. It will surely encourage experimentation among developers but only approved features would be able to find a place for themselves.
Certainly this will help in improving the popularity of the language and encourage innovation.
