Gregg Sporar over at Sun MicroSystems emailed me to let me know that a new tutorial is up on the Netbeans site for their application profiler. I was able to get things working pretty easily based on the instructions. The tutorial took me about an hour to setup and take everything in. It includes a couple of sample projects and three exercises to get a developer going. I really liked the exercise about finding memory leaks at the end of the tutorial. If you are interested in profiling any of your Java applications you should take a look. I thought it was worth my time and it is free to download.

Check it out.
