Nokia Tube: Company's first touch screen phone might feature Java
Filed in archive Mobile Devices on April 9, 2008

If Apple is not interested in giving space to Java on iPhone there is no need to worry as the leader in cell phone nokia wants Sun to be part of its new sensation - its first touch screen phone. Although the company didn't reveal much about it but for the moment it will be called Tube.
As per words making rounds Nokia Tube will be having the latest version of Symbian operating system and Java built in support as standard feature. On the other hand Apple was never interested in having Java on its phone and it came up with its own iPhone SDK and despite all this Sun is still interested in porting JVM to iPhone.
It seems Nokia is all set to give competition to Apple iPhone with its Nokia Tube but one good thing is that Java would be there and this time Sun won't be left fuming. I am eagerly waiting for the phone to be launched. Let's see when we get to see the iPhone competitor from Nokia!!
