OSBF Creates Bridge Between Java and .NET
Filed in archive Application Development on March 7, 2009

The European Open Source Business Foundation (OSBF) this week introduced the Internet Service Bus (ISB), a platform that leverages service-oriented architecture (SOA) for cloud computing and creates a bridge between the Java and .NET worlds.
"The secret sauce that blends the Java and .NET worlds is the Internet service bus, or ISB, which allows corporate and third-party developers to access online applications as a service through an integrated Web-based application," writes InformationWeek's Ed Scannell. "With the ISB, developers can get at and use existing, battle-tested code to build applications that can commute back and forth between Java and .NET worlds."
The OSBF's Interoperability project development consortium includes 1&1, CORISECIO, Microsoft, Open-Xchange and Sopera.
"Java and .NET are the predominant platforms for enterprise applications today - as they will be for cloud computing too," says Sopera managing Dr. Ricco Deutscher. "The key to the native integration of these two worlds is the ISB."
