PHP Is Getting A Java Like Web Framework
Filed in archive Application Development on March 14, 2006

Once again IndicThreads.com has a good article. They are covering the creation of a new MVC framework that is based on PHP. It is called the Zend Framework but it is still under development and apparently not ready for general use.
I like PHP and have for a long time. I wrote my first homepage in back in 2002 with it. The site still lives and from time to time I update it as I need to. PHP is so simple to use that I wish it was taken a little more seriously. Maybe the simplicity is the drawback though. If this Zend Framework is for real and it gets some traction PHP might start giving Ruby on Rails and or the Python frameworks a run for their money.
