How to get to taste the best of both Java and Flash technologies? This is what Sony Ericsson intends to do with new developer tools that would enable cell phones to derive the maximum benefit from Java and Flash.

Codenamed Project Capuchin, this bridge API brings together Java ME security and complex capabilities with the striking user interface of Flash Lite. Further it might also be possible to enable Flash Lite technology to take care of complete presentation layer and create Java ME applications.

Capuchin is expected to give a push to Adobe's Flash Lite and probably gives it a chance to prove itself against the likes of Java ME.
