Public Alpha of Apollo rolled out by Adobe
The first public alpha version of Apollo has been launched by Adobe and those of you who are not aware about Apollo, let me tell you it is not a space mission but code name for a cross operating system application runtime which enables developers to utilize their skills in JavaScript, HTML and Ajax along with Adobe Flex and Flash software for building rich internet applications on the desktop.

This software development kit in combination with a Flash-like runtime file supports rich internet applications which work both online and offline which implies that there is no need for any web browser. It is aimed at offering rich application experience to the users. With Apollo you don't even need to open a browser and simply access a host of internet applications. With it get ready to launch applications directly from your desktop and interact offline too. Along with the first version you can avail a free SDK offering a set of command line tools for working with Apollo application. Click here to avail the free version of Apollo SDK. Apollo is being launched pretty late and in order to succeed it would surely have to attract a number of development projects.
