Release Candidate Shipped By Microsoft
The precursor of Microsoft's AJAX technology, Release Candidate of ASP.Net AJAX 1.0 is now being shipped by the company. With it web developers would be able to build web pages with a richer user interface and an efficient client server communication.
Features added to the Release Candidate consist of a built in Visual Studio Web Application Project template for building ASP.Net AJAX applications. Besides this there is an additional globalization support for AJAX applications and a new script resource handler feature for improving substitution logic, compression and caching. There is also a dynamic invocation of web services proxies from JavaScript. ASP.Net AJAX is to be included in the core .Net Framework and Visual Studio development platform.
