Sun and Oracle busy fixing J2SE bug with E-Business Suite
Sun and Oracle are working together for fixing the bug in E-Business Suite in Windows Vista. Unfortunately the problem is within the Java 2 Platform standardlinks Edition platform of Sun.

As per Steven Chan:

This is a critical issue, unfortunately, and we're working with Sun to get this into a future J2SE release. As of today, we don't have a firm schedule for the next J2SE release containing this fix.

This has caused a number of issues for Oracle and it is not sure as to the time period within which it will be certifying E-Business versions 11i and 12 for Vista. As of now it is still busy evaluating the use of Java 2 Platform Standard Edition 5.0 and 6.0 plug-ins though it has not been causing much of a trouble. Also it doesn't seem that Oracle would be certifying Jlnitiator with E-Business clients running on Vista but this is still under consideration.
