Sun cares for ecology in its technologies
Filed in archive Basics by gautam on September 11, 2007
Our environment around us is quite fragile and it has been suffering since a number of years due to the apathy of the Human Beings on the planet. Realizing this Sun plans to maintain the ecological balance on this Earth so that the future generations don't have to suffer. As a part of its eco initiative the company has unveiled various programs and solutions for helping its clients design eco responsible and energy efficient datacenters which save out on your money too. The Eco Innovation Initiative is a shoot off of the company's Eco Responsibility Initiative which was unveiled in 2005.

The following tools have been announced by the company:

Sun Eco Assessment Kit
Sun Eco Optimization Kit
Sun Eco Virtualization Kit

Like Sun other companies too have been trying to take the ecological path but in case of Sun besides its ecological safety initiative it even highlights distinctive technological prowess in its systems and processors. I believe that other companies too should also try and learn from Sun and care for the ecology as much as they care for developing the latest technologies.
