Sun Microsystems has introduced an installation program which bundles the NetBeans IDE and JBoss Application Server. The program has been made available for GNU/Linux, Solaris, Windows operating system and Mac OS X. Since Sun Microsystems is the major sponsor of NetBeans open source project, it has been working with JBoss for creating an installer which includes a combination of NetBeans IDE and JBoss Application Sever.

As per company claims this platform would enable developers to perform a single installation and Java EE applications would start developing immediately. With this installer the productivity of its customers and developers would improve. This would offer the customers simplicity and choice while developing standards based Java EE applications.
