Scott McNealy, Chairman and co-founder of Sun Microsystems stated that it won't stop growing as long as you keep cranking out engineers. Here he was speaking in reference to the world's second fastest growing economy and if you keep your facts updated then you must be aware that he is talking about India. This place which used to be referred to as the land of snake charmers is now the fastest growing non-US geography in terms of revenue for computer server manufacturers. The company has a special relation with the country where around 3.5-million Indian software developers use Java.

With India's financial services, healthcare and retail sectors booming like anything Sun would like its technologies to be a part of this success story. In India Java has been embraced by PCs and servers, smart cards, cell phones and cash card machines which make it one of the most implemented technologies in the country. With India's economy growing faster than China at nine percent per annum it is expected that Sun products would account for 2.1% of the GDP of the country. If these facts are to be believed then Sun can surely be a part of the success of India.
