Sun xVM Ops Center is finally out!! For those of you who don't know about it let me tell you it is a highly scalable datacenter automation tool for complete management of heterogeneous global IT environments and that's not all soon the company would soon be releasing the source code to the OpenxVM.org community under GPLv3. It will be commercially released in the first week of January next year. The best thing about Sun xVM Ops Center is that it brings down the complexity of datacenter management by bringing together lifecycle management functionality into an all-in-one tool. It even simplifies monitoring, OS provisioning, comprehensive updates and patch management. It even enables enterprises to streamline their data center operations which brings down costs and ensures data center consolidation. It will be available for free download but commercial subscriptions will be available between price ranges of $100 to $350.

There’s plenty of new tools available for Data Center Automation which I find to be a promising sign that not only is this technology sticking around for the foreseeable future, but more businesses are going to be adopting some form of automation very soon. I’m also predicting the majority of networks to be fully autonomous by 2020.
