Sun has just changed the face of the market by introducing Galaxy range of Sun Fire x64 servers which is powered by AMD Opteron processors and Solaris 10 OS. The models introduced by the company are Sun Fire X4100 M2, Sun Fire X4200 M2 and Sun Fire X4600 M2.

With on chip virtualization support, these servers have set up a new standard for energy efficiency and reliability. This can be regarded as a completely refreshed product lineup as it was in August that the company had released the Sun Fire X2100 M2 and Sun Fire X2200 M2 range of servers.
