Unified Java for Phones unveiled by Sun
A new version of java for mobile devices is being launched by Sun for manufacturers and developers. The Mobile Service Architecture or MSA platform would be combining various existing Java components into a single minimum standard which has got the nod of most of the manufactures and operators.

It was almost four years back when Sun and the Java committees had agreed upon a minimum common standard and since then the technology has seen such a level of advancement that it has become a tough task for developers to figure out which all components are available on various phones. For the phones running on MSA you will have to wait till the second half of 2007.
