Application Development
by gautam on September 29, 2008
We are all aiming for better application interactions as web standards but the journey has been tough till now. Standards such as WHATWG and XForms have been around but they have suffered on account of snail pace framework development or requirement of user plug-ins.
Now here comes Ruby on Rails and Java Server Faces into picture. Ruby on Rails has been working towards giving an impetus to programming offering automatic information in databases and standard models for creation of websites. On the other hand Java Server Faces offers compatibility with several internet technologies including the likes of Ajax. Both of them have been getting support from big names too. This certainly has given a sense of relief to developers so that they would not have to act in a guarded while trying to create usable web applications. At the end of the day one must keep their eyes and mind open, after all we have several solutions at our disposal and it's just that we don't look around. I will continue with my discussion on this topic in my future posts.
