As per a survey conducted by Evans Data Corp, web services and Web 2.0 interfaces are moving ahead in the use of Web 2.0 which is major component on Web 2.0 architecture. Around half of the developers surveyed are working with AJAX or are planning to do so in the coming year.

Some of the known examples of use of AJAX are Gmail, Orkut, Google Suggest, Google Groups and Google Maps and many other companies are following suit. The study also highlighted that the adoption of java platform is poised for significant growth even though the industry doesn't thinks so and three out of every four companies is expected to work with Java platform from next year onwards.
