WebKit and Ajax Applications
How about using WebKit for creating Ajax applications? Chrome, the latest browser from Google was developed using Webkit which made the job of their developers easy as they did not have to slog hours in writing extensive coding.

If you are wondering what WebKit is all about then let me tell you it's an open source application framework which offers basis for building web browsers.

Though WebKit will make the life of a developer easy but there are certain security issues involved with it which could lead to an open invitation for the hackers. Another problem faced is with regards to customization as you can create Ajax applications only if the functions are provided by frameworks and making changes to the function could jeopardize the entire application.

Though there are certain downsides of WebKits but Google has already gone ahead and proved that WebKit could play a pivotal role in developing highly interactive Ajax based applications without being bothered by frameworks. So go ahead and use WebKit to full potential!!
