Where is Open Ajax Alliance headed for?
Open Ajax Alliance which brings together companies backing Ajax and leading vendors dedicated towards the successful adoption of Ajax based web technologies is sailing on some rough waters right now. At the moment it has not been able to find support for its projects even though it has received the backing from some of the biggest name of the industry.

Considering the 2008 Open Ajax Alliance InteropFest project started off in June it still has not been able to attract participants for it even after couple of months having passed. If you go through the project wiki which includes the result table for participants to fill in the details of their project then you would still find it empty and the only entry you may across is with regards to reference implementation of OpenAjax mashup editor. With couple of weeks left for the deadline, the current picture presents a sorry state of affair. This surely is not good for the development of Open Ajax Alliance which has some heavyweight names like Google, IBM, Adobe, Oracle associated with it. Probably some one will have to take the initiative seriously or it would be better to disband the Open Ajax Alliance if it cannot contribute towards the development of the technology.
