Will Ajax Make a Mark on Apple iPhone?

Apple iPhone is out and it is creating waves all around. After months of intense speculation we were able to see the final iPhone. With phones like these having a full fledged browser which can be used with ease it gives rise to expectations of using web apps on mobile phones but Ryan is not happy with the fact that Ajax has not been able to make its presence felt in the mobile world.

Though flash applications have been deployed but the same cannot be said about Ajax. It is an arduous task to implement mobile version of Ajax applications requiring a totally different code base. Flash has been able to capitalize on this fact and it has emerged stronger in the mobile domain.

Now with iPhone out with a working browser it needs to be seen whether finally Ajax would be able to make an impact on the small screen or not. Are we asking for too much? Let's keep our fingers crossed for the time being.
