AJAX
by jason on February 14, 2006

I've used DWR, Script.aculo.us, ProtoType and MochiKit so far but haven't decided to stick with any single one yet. The list of available frameworks over at the Ajaxpatternss.org site tells me that the last thing I need right now is yet another option when building a site that uses AJAX. For some reason though Yahoo doing this it gives me that warm fuzzy feeling. It is like I could just pick up one of these components and use it without the frustration I've had to deal with elsewhere. I can't say that I know that for certain yet but I'll give Yahoo a try and let you know.

There are five core effects script.aculo.us offers: Opacity, Scale, MoveBy, Highlight, and Parallel. Through these effects there are over 16 additional effects using combinations of the core effects out of the box. Programmers can even extend and make new effects.
